Kamigumi completes Harumi Logistics Center

On September 1, Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Kobe; President & Representative Director: Yoshihiro Fukai; "Kamigumi" hereinafter) completed construction of the Harumi Logistics Center at the Port of Tomakomai (Tomakomai City, Hokkaido).
As noted in the previous news release, "Kamigumi to build Harumi Logistics Center (tentative name)" (as of December 5, 2023), while Kamigumi already had an existing logistics center operating at the Port of Tomakomai, the volumes of government purchased rice, domestically produced rice for feed use, and similar cargo handled at the port have grown dramatically in recent years. With demand expected to continue rising, Kamigumi has built this logistics center to ensure it can respond appropriately and provide stable service to its customers.
The Harumi Logistics Center consists mainly of a fixed-temperature warehouse, and also includes refrigerated and fumigation warehouses to handle increasingly diverse cargo. The new logistics center is closer to the Port of Tomakomai than the existing facility, reducing transportation times. In these and other ways, the new facility will provide even higher quality services to customers to meet their needs.
Toward achieving the goals of the Medium-Term Management Plan, Kamigumi will continue striving to increase the market shares and resilience of domestic core businesses, one of the basic principles of the plan.
