Kamigumi opens Wakayama Gobo Sub Branch in Gobo City, Wakayama Prefecture, marking launch of biomass fuel loading/unloading, storage, and transport operations

On August 21, 2025, Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Kobe; President & Representative Director: Yoshihiro Fukai; "Kamigumi" hereinafter) opened the Wakayama Gobo Sub Branch in Gobo City, Wakayama Prefecture, and launched biomass fuel loading/unloading, storage, and transport operations at the Wakayama Gobo Biomass Power Plant,* which opened on the same date.
Drawing on Kamigumi's expertise in handling wood biomass fuels, the Gobo Sub Branch will handle the loading/unloading, storage, and transport of wood pellets and palm kernel shells (PKS) to contribute to stable supply to the power plant.
Based on "Expand businesses to address new logistics needs," one of the basic principles of the Medium-Term Management Plan, Kamigumi will work to strengthen new energy-related businesses and moreover contribute to promoting the adoption of renewable energy sources in Japan and realizing a carbon-neutral society.

* Operated by Wakayama Gobo Biomass Power Plant G.K., a limited liability company jointly funded by Enewill Inc., Osaka Gas Co., Ltd., and SMFL MIRAI Partners Co., Ltd.
