Notice of investment in iLabo Corporation

Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Kobe, Hyogo; President & CEO: Yoshihiro Fukai; "Kamigumi" hereinafter) has invested in iLabo Corporation (Head Office: 8F, bizcube, 6-13-9 Ginza, Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Nobuhiro Ota, "iLabo" hereinafter), which engages in business in areas including research and development on hydrogen engines and conversion of engines to hydrogen power.

iLabo has articulated its mission as follows: As a leading company in fossil fuel engine hydrogenation technology, we will contribute to the early realization of a decarbonized society and the enhancement of corporate value for our customers. iLabo's businesses include the conversion of diesel engines that require high output, such as heavy trucks and emergency generators, to hydrogen engines (evolutionary adaptation).

Systems are being developed worldwide for the technological development, implementation, and commercialization required to realize a hydrogen society. One example is Japan's promulgation of the Hydrogen Society Promotion Act, last year. These systems call for the production, transport, and use of hydrogen, and numerous businesses are engaged in related activities, including applying for hydrogen-related patents and trials of hydrogen systems. In this regard, last year, iLabo also conducted a cargo delivery demonstration project between Haneda Airport and a suburban theme park using a medium-sized (8-ton gross vehicle weight) hydrogen-powered vehicle.

Likewise, Kamigumi recognizes reducing environmental impact as a key goal, and considers businesses based on hydrogen to have significant future potential. Our aim is to contribute to such businesses through this investment.
