Kamigumi to build Kitakaihin Warehouse (tentative name)
Kamigumi Co., Ltd. (Head Office: Chuo-ku, Kobe; President & Representative Director: Yoshihiro Fukai; "Kamigumi" hereinafter) has decided to build the Kitakaihin Warehouse (tentative name) in the Port of Kashima (Kashima, Ibaraki Prefecture).
Located in the center of the Kashima Rinkai Industrial Area, the Port of Kashima has been designated an International Strategic Bulk Port and specializes primarily in the handling of product raw materials. The planned construction site is located about 1.5 km from the port's Gaiko Public Wharf, an ideal location to transport cargo to the warehouse after unloading from ships.
Kamigumi has reached a broad agreement with a major customer on concluding a long-term contract for use of the warehouse and expects to be able to operate it at a high utilization rate from the start of operations, including warehousing and dispatching as well as ancillary transport.
Having identified Strengthening Core Businesses as a key strategy of its Medium-Term Management Plan, the Kamigumi Group will strive to achieve the goals of the plan by actively making growth investments with a view to strengthening competitiveness and growing its businesses over the medium to long term.
