Kamigumi installs solar power equipment at Tobishima Warehouse Complex
and realizes net 100% use of renewable energy for electricity consumed at neighboring warehouse

On January 15, Kamigumi began operating solar power equipment with storage batteries installed at the Tobishima Warehouse Complex (Ama-gun, Aichi Prefecture).
A portion of the power generated by this equipment is used by the neighboring Port of Nagoya Logistics Center*1 to realize net 100% use of renewable energy for electricity consumed at the facility.
In addition to installing storage batteries (approx. 1,800 kWh) to store power generated during the day for nighttime use, we have installed a charging facility for electric vehicles (EVs) that can be used by the community as a power supply base in the event of an emergency.
Drawing on the present case as a model project, we will undertake various measures to achieve target reductions in CO2 emissions in 2030 and help customers achieve carbon neutrality in their supply chains.

【Overview of installed solar power equipment】
Installation site: Tobishima Warehouse Complex
Address: 1-5-4 Higashihama, Tobishima-mura, Ama-gun, Aichi Prefecture
Completion date: January 15, 2024
Power generation capacity: approx. 1,350 kW (partly converted to green power certificates)
Storage battery capacity: approx. 1,800 kWh
User of solar power generated: Tobishima Warehouse Complex
User of green power certificates: Port of Nagoya Logistics Center (to realize net 100% use of
                 renewable energy)
Planned CO2 emissions reductions: 376 t-CO2/year

*1 A portion of the power generated at the Tobishima Warehouse Complex is converted to green power certificates for use by the Port of Nagoya Logistics Center.
