Construction of Shiomi Motor Pool (Tentative Name)

Kamigumi has announced that it will construct Shiomi Motor Pool (tentative name) with a capacity to house 1,100 vehicles at Shiomi Pier in Nagoya City, Aichi Prefecture.

Kamigumi provides storage facilities throughout Japan to automakers for housing newly completed vehicles. On this occasion, Kamigumi has decided to construct the Shiomi Motor Pool aiming to capture rising throughput.

The site of this motor pool is located within the Port of Nagoya and close to the Meiko Shiomi IC for the Isewangan Expressway connecting to the Shin-Meishin Expressway and Shin-Tomei Expressway. This location makes it extremely convenient for shipping new vehicles both by sea and by land.

With the completion of Shiomi Motor Pool (tentative name), Kamigumi will be able to improve operating efficiencies and service quality as well as further boost the profitability of the automobile handling business, considered an important business for Kamigumi.
