Kamigumi Establishes Locally Incorporated Subsidiary in the United States

Kamigumi has established a wholly-owned subsidiary in the United States called Kamigumi USA Inc. (Kamigumi USA).

Kamigumi had a locally incorporated subsidiary in the United States until the 1990s, but this company was temporarily closed after we determined the need to selectively focus on overseas businesses in order to capture the robust demand for logistics in China and Southeast Asia. However, we decided to establish Kamigumi USA on this occasion after determining that we can deliver high quality and strategic logistics services by re-establishing a site in the United States, as with Mexico, in order to capture robust demand between the two countries for logistics services. This is because our subsidiary Kamigumi Mexico S.A. de C.V. (established in October 2015) is actively providing logistics services to Japanese companies mainly involved in the automotive industry.

After establishing Kamigumi USA, we will be positioned to deliver high value added "Kamigumi-Designed Logistics," leveraging collaboration with our subsidiaries mainly in Asia, including company assets at our domestic sales locations, through prompt and timely sales activities to customers with business operations in the United States.

In addition, Kamigumi USA aims to further enhance logistics services for customers to meet future demand for logistics, which includes eyeing a possible expansion into major cities in the United States.
