Kamigumi acquired a 66.7% stake in MB Service Japan Co., Ltd. (MBSJ), a new vehicle preparation company established by Mercedes-Benz Japan Co., Ltd. (MBJ) on Tuesday, January 9, 2018, and in turn, MBSJ became a subsidiary of Kamigumi effective the same day.

MBSJ will be responsible for new vehicle preparation and other related operations for Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles at the Hitachi Vehicle Preparation Center previously carried out by MBJ.

Kamigumi has been contracted by MBJ to carry out new vehicle preparation and other related operations at the MBJ Toyohashi Vehicle Preparation Center since 2014. By acquiring MBSJ as a new subsidiary, Kamigumi will now be able to provide new vehicle preparation and other related operations for all Mercedes-Benz and smart vehicles arriving in Japan.
